Code of Conduct - The Standard of the Cohort

Unplugged Outdoor is a curated environment for motivated students. Participation is an invitation to lead; it is a privilege earned through presence.

STANDARDS

THE EXPEDITION COMMITMENT

This experience is designed to be fun, enriching, and safe. To protect all participants, every student agrees to:

 

✔️ Follow instructions from chaperones and activity leaders at all times.

✔️ Stay with the group; NO exceptions.

✔️ Treat peers, adults, and local communities with respect.

✔️ Participate in scheduled activities and group responsibilities.

✔️ Maintain a drug-free, alcohol-free, and vape-free environment.

✔️ Use technology only during approved times to stay present and engaged.​

CONSEQUENCES AND ACCOUNTABILITY FOR UNSAFE BEHAVIOR

 

If a student engages in behavior that compromises safety or disrupts the collective growth of the cohort, the following may occur:

  1. Immediate removal from high-adventure activities.

  2. Early dismissal from the program at the parents’ expense.

  3. Note on Refunds: To protect the program's integrity and costs, refunds are not provided for missed activities or unused days due to behavioral or safety infractions.​​

PARENT - STUDENT AGREEMENT​​

  • We understand that the 2026 Expedition Series is a high-standard environment built on real-world connection and personal accountability.

  • We acknowledge that the 'Unplugged' policy (no personal devices) is non-negotiable and designed to foster focus.

  • We agree to uphold the Pillars of the Cohort even when the mission becomes physically or mentally demanding.

Documenting the Journey - To share the Unplugged story and celebrate the cohort's growth, we capture professional photography and film during our expeditions. We respect the digital privacy of every family.

Please select your media preference for the 2026 Expedition Series:
Full Release: I grant Unplugged Outdoor Co. permission to use my student’s likeness for the website, social media, and future marketing.
Internal Cohort Only: Photos of my student may only be shared within the private, password-protected 2026 Parent Gallery.
No Media: Please do not use my student's likeness. Our staff will be briefed to avoid individual shots of your student.

*I understand that no compensation is provided for the use of these images and that Unplugged Outdoor Co. will always present students in a respectful, grit-centered, and professional light.
