PEANUT ISLAND KAYAK + SNORKEL

Service Description

Students will kayak and snorkel through shallow, coastal ecosystems while learning about mangroves, coral, and human impact on marine environments. Includes a geography warm-up and a guided nature reflection. The day begins with transportation to Riviera Beach, where teens receive basic paddling instruction and safety orientation. From there, the group sets out on a guided kayak journey across calm waters to Peanut Island — a manmade barrier island known for its clear turquoise water and marine life. Once ashore, students gear up for a guided snorkel session along the rocky shoreline and seagrass beds. With certified instructors leading the way, participants may observe tropical fish, rays, crabs, and more in a safe, beginner-friendly setting. No prior snorkeling experience is required. After the water activities, students enjoy a shaded beachside lunch and a group reflection before returning by kayak to the mainland. This trip includes transportation, all kayak and snorkel equipment, certified guides, entrance and launch access, beachside lunch/snacks, and supervision by certified educators in a small-group setting. Who This Trip Is For: Teens ages 12–15 who are comfortable in the water, open to group outdoor activities, and excited to learn about marine ecosystems in a hands-on way. Who This Trip Is Not For: Teens who are afraid of open water, unable to swim (even with flotation), or uncomfortable with structured outdoor group settings.
