KEY LARGO SNORKEL: INTO THE BLUE

Service Description

This full-day adventure invites students to explore North America's only living coral reef ecosystem. After traveling via group transportation to Key Largo, participants will board a certified snorkeling boat for a three-hour guided tour led by professional instructors at John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. The tour includes snorkeling over shallow coral reefs where students can safely observe a range of marine life — from angelfish and parrotfish to sea fans, sponges, and coral formations. Environmental education is embedded throughout the experience, with instructors highlighting reef health, conservation, and the importance of protecting coastal ecosystems. Before entering the water, teens will receive safety instructions, equipment fitting, and beginner-friendly training. Flotation devices and guide support are included, and no prior snorkeling experience is necessary. This trip includes transportation, snorkel boat tour and equipment, certified guides, park admission, lunch/snacks, and supervision by certified educators in a small-group setting. Who This Trip Is For: Teens who are comfortable in the water, eager to learn about marine environments, and open to trying new physical activities in a safe, guided setting. Who This Trip Is Not For: Teens who are highly anxious around open water or boats, or those unable to follow basic safety instructions in a group setting.
