MID TIER | A Culinary & Agricultural Adventure for Teens (Ages 12–15)

235 US dollars
North Miami Avenue|Location 1

Service Description

This immersive farm-to-table experience offers teens a full day of discovery, flavor, and connection as they explore the journey from soil to plate. Hosted at a working sustainable farm in Homestead, the trip combines agriculture, food education, and hands-on cooking in a supportive, unplugged environment. The day begins with private roundtrip transportation in a Mercedes Sprinter van. Upon arrival, teens are welcomed by the farm’s educators and led on an interactive tour of the property. They’ll learn about organic growing practices, meet animals, explore edible gardens, and harvest seasonal produce they will later use in the kitchen. Following the tour, the group transitions to an open-air teaching kitchen where a farm chef leads a beginner-friendly cooking class using freshly harvested ingredients. Teens will prepare and enjoy their own healthy, delicious meal while learning kitchen safety, basic knife skills, and creative ways to cook with real, local food. The day wraps with outdoor time on the farm — whether feeding animals, helping plant a seedling, or simply relaxing in a shaded grove with peers. The experience is fully guided, safe, and intentionally tech-free to encourage real-world connection and hands-on engagement. Who This Trip Is For: Ideal for teens ages 12–15 who enjoy cooking, exploring nature, learning about food systems, or trying new things in a small group. No prior experience in gardening or cooking is needed — just curiosity, cooperation, and a positive attitude. Who This Trip Is Not For: This trip may not be suitable for teens who have strong sensory sensitivities to animals, dirt, or food prep environments, or who may not be comfortable participating in group-based hands-on activities for extended periods. Not recommended for teens unwilling to engage respectfully in a real working farm environment. Trip Includes: Private roundtrip transportation in a Mercedes Sprinter van Full interactive farm tour and educational activities Farm-to-table cooking class with local chef All ingredients, tools, and safety gear provided Full farm-prepared lunch (cooked by participants) Animal encounters and seasonal planting or harvesting Supervision by certified educators and outdoor staff Small group size This is a fully guided, all-inclusive day designed to nourish mind and body while giving teens the chance to connect deeply with nature, food, and one another — no screens, just real experience.
